Alleged dismissal of Eldorado Park Secondary School principal aggrieves parents.
Residents were seen peacefully protesting at the gates of Eldorado Park Secondary School against the alleged dismissal of the principal Mr Louw. It is alleged that in the duration of the examination procedures last year SADTU members wanted to interrupt  the exams by having a meeting at the school with the teachers who are of the union. However the group of SADTU members were ousted from the school premises.

Lesufi condemns circulating evidence of Reiger Park principal sleeping with school girls.
Videos and pictures of a Reiger Park principal having sexual encounters with female learners in his office have been circulating on various social media platforms. Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi is appealing to the public to stop sharing the content. The department reportedly sent its social workers to the Boksburg High school on Monday. According to Lesufi his department is working towards the immediate dismissal of the principal as well as laying charges against him.

Eldorado park stakeholders launch senior citizens programme.
On Monday January 29 Fazel  Jaffer, councillor for ward 18, along with various stakeholders from wards 119, 11, 17 and 18 launched a senior citizen's forum.
The mandate for the forum includes data collection of the senior population in the four wards mentioned and specifically care for seniors with disabilities.

Suspect accused of stealing the Soweto Country Club fence has been arrested.
The South African Police Service alongside the City’s Group Forensic and investigation Service raided Mahogany flats in Eldorado Park today at 3:45 am. In the process one suspect who allegedly stole the Soweto country club fence was arrested. Police are still in search of four more suspects who have been identified. The arrested suspect will appear in the Kliptown Magistrates court on 05 February 2018. Last week 12 clear view fence panels was recovered estimated to cost R6000 from a block of flats in Eldorado Park by the GFIS.
