3 killed and 5 left wounded in a Dobsonville house shooting
An incident in Soweto yesterday has left 3 people killed and 5 others critically injured following a shooting. The police’s Lungelo Dlamini reports that the murder of 3 people is being investigated by Dobsonville people, as well as the injury of 5 others. He continues to say suspects fired shots, leaving 2 people dead on the scene, with one later dying in hospital, and 5 others recovering in hospital. The gunmen supposedly stormed a Dobsonville house in Soweto and began opening fire. The reason for the shooting is not yet known.



No fake foods found in foreign owned shops says health department
Following a looting saga in Soweto, the department of health conducted countrywide inspections of more than 400 Small shops. During a press conference Minister of health Dr Aaron Motsoaledi said there is no plastic bread that won't dissolve in water. The Minister further said that since the saga started no one has presented a single foodstuff that is fake. After many videos surfaced on social media, including pictures of black liquid manufactured in a dark room and placed in Coca-Cola bottles the National health department asked municipal health inspectors to check spaza shops countrywide for counterfeit or rotten food.

Eldorado Park Police officer faces murder charges for killing his partner
An Eldorado Park School teacher was allegedly shot and killed by her boyfriend in Naturena in the south of Johannesburg on Friday evening. 44-year-old Mihlothi Ngobeni taught at Eldomaine High School in Eldorado Park and apparently died on the scene. Independent Police Investigative Directorate’s (IPID) Moses Dlamini reports that the suspect, who was a visible policing warrant officer at Eldorado Park Police station, accused his girlfriend of attacking him with a knife after he received a call from a woman. According to the suspect, there was an alleged struggle and a shot was accidentally discharged, leading to the teacher being hit with a bullet on the upper neck. The suspect was arrested immediately and charged with murder. The school, on Monday had a white candle and rose in the reception area to honour Ngobeni.



Court resumes for Ennerdale father who mistakenly shot and killed his son
The Ennerdale father, Sibusiso Tshabalala, accused of shooting and killing his son after mistaking him for a robber, is set to return to the Lenasia Magistrates court in Johannesburg today. In June, Tshabala apparently fell asleep in the car while waiting for his son, Luyanda Tshabalala, to return from evening class at Fred Norman Secondary School in Ennerdale. The learner then tried to get into the car which startled the father, leading to him opening fire in the direction of his son, ultimately killing him. After making his second court appearance in July, the court case was postponed to today, as the state needed time to conclude its investigation. Should the investigation end, Tshabalala could find out today what his fate will be.  



Extension 3 old age village a haven for senior citizens
The Nancefield housing scheme based in Eldorado Park, extension 3, caters to senior citizens from the age 60 and is best known by the community as the old age village. Seniors can register for housing from the age of 55 at number 222 Smit Street Braamfontein, however, are only able to move in from the age of 60.



Murder accused fathers’ defence team applies for withdrawal of murder case
Emmanuel Tshabalala’s lawyer will allegedly approach the Director of Public Prosecutions in a bid to have the murder case against his client withdrawn, his lawyer Chewe Machaka told the court that he would approach the DPP to submit representations with the hope that the matter could be withdrawn. SASSA card swap deadline fast approaching
With the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) card swap deadline fast approaching, beneficiaries are urged to get to their nearest SASSA pay-out office and exchange old cards for new ones before September 30th. Beneficiaries are urged to bring along their old sassa card as well as their ID’s.


 


JMPD Soccer Tournament reach its Climax
The JMPD Chief of Police Soccer Tournament, is still underway at the Eldorado Park ext.6 football grounds. Today, counts the second year, since the implementation of the tournament, that looks to increase the prevention of Police Killing, and Drug awareness.




Eldos Active Aging heads to Provincials
This Friday the Eldos Active Aging team, heads to the west of Gauteng, to Play in Provincial Aging games. The Active Aging team who championed the Clusters in the 500m brisk, Pass the ball, and Kick n Pass categories, is a team that consists of different sport clubs, including Football and netball.

Lit mattress causes shack fire in ext. 2
A fire broke out in a shack in Bololoberg street, extension 2 in Eldorado Park last night. According to an eye-witness, one of the inhabitants of the informal home set fire to a mattress which caused the entire shack to go up in flames.

It is alleged that one of the occupants, who is believed to be a suspect, suffers from a mental illness. Residents in the area said they called emergency services, who supposedly arrived 45 minutes after the initial emergency call had been logged. EMS cited the reason for the delay as due to fire trucks being dispatched to the fatal fire which occurred in the Johannesburg CBD yesterday afternoon.



Renovated pools a roaring success
The public pools for ward 17 and 18 officially opened on September 1st following extended renovations. Entry fee for children will cost R5 an R10 for adults. Ward 18 councillor Fazel Jaffer says the operating hours of the pool has been extended to 6pm to accommodate the working class.



Missing persons alert
The Ennerdale resident Amogelang Mokoa who went missing on Wednesday September 05th was last seen between 4 and 5 pm wearing a grey school trouser, white shirt, blue jersey and sneakers. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Ennerdale SAPS on 011 855 1056.



Provincial Aging Games next for Eldos Active Aging Region D crowned the second champions of JMPD Soccer tournament
Yesterday the Region D, from Soweto, became the second Champions of the JMPD Chief of Police Soccer Tournament, as Region A, won the title last year. The competition was played Yesterday at the Ext.6 football grounds.
The Department of Correctional Services, won the Master’s Cup competition, with the ladies Cup competition, however, being cancelled.

Meanwhile, Today counts the last day, before the Eldos Active Aging team heads to the Ruimsig stadium, in Roodepoort, to play in the Provincials Aging games. Eldos Active Aging Cluster Champions is a team for the Elderly, that was founded in 2015, and play home, at the Ext.9 stadium.

Crystal Mall Nedbank robbery
Crystal Mall in the spotlight with robberies after recently the liquor store has been broken into and early hours of this morning it has been confirmed that the Nedbank ATM has been broken into.  A security guard at the mall confirms how him and his team were tied up by robbers dressed in full police uniform.

As of late Crystal Mall has been in the spotlight with robberies after recently the liquor store had been broken into and in the early hours of this morning it’s been confirmed that the Nedbank ATM has been broken into as well.  A security guard at the mall confirms that he and his team were tied up by robbers dressed in full police uniform
The owner of Lethal Force Shahim Ismail also confirms this Audio. No arrests have been made as an investigation is still ongoing.
