Gender based violence is any form of verbal , physical or emotional abuse against a male or female with regards their sexuality e.g. making anybody from the LGBTIQ ( Lesbians ,Gays , Bisexual ,Transgender ,Intersex and Queer) feel inferior about their sexual preferences by teasing , hitting ,or using any form of hate speech against them. Gender based violence can be a man abusing a woman and vice versa or a woman abusing another woman or vice versa although women are more likely to report abuse.

Imagine a community where money is not much of a factor because love is a priority. Where role models are the ones who display strength, responsibility and great character. A community where young women no longer have to seek affection and closeness from no outside source. Wishful thinking some would say...But is it really?


A once “wow” recreational park , situated in Kremetart street , visited by local celebrities in extension 3 has turned into a not-so “wow” venue in a very short span of time . The City Park venue used to host the annual jazz festival in September every year until two years ago when the event moved to extension 6.
